- Yaz birth control pills are not advisable for breast-feeding mothers. Hormones in pills can pass into breast milk and harm baby. It may also slow down the milk production.
- Yaz has unique hormone, drsp® or drospirenone (pronounced dros-peer-eh-known), which may increase the level of potassium. This may cause serious health hazards for women suffering from kidney, liver or adrenal diseases such as heart problems or stroke. If you are already on medical treatment for heart or cardiovascular disease or chronic inflammatory diseases, please consult with your doctor or healthcare professional before taking Yaz birth control pills. In any case, it is advisable for women to check their potassium levels before taking Yaz birth control pills for birth control treatment.


Overdose
If you think you are overdosed, you may experience immediate vomiting after taking pills, nausea, sever headache, sever abdomen pains, restlessness, high level of frustration and emotional disorder and even excess vaginal bleeding. Missed dose

C) If you miss 2 Pink active pills in a row in the Week 3 In such cases, you will be required to take some serious actions to avoid pregnancy.

Either you will be a first day starter or first Sunday.

1. In case, you are first day starter when your period started on first day, your cycle of using Yaz birth control pills is very much out of the schedule. Hence, please throw out the rest of pills pack and start a new pack on the same day.

2. In case, you are a first Sunday starter, please continue taking one pill every day until Sunday. On Sunday, please throw out the rest of pills packet and start a new pack on the same day.

3. You may not have period this month but could be expected. However, if you do not have periods for two months consecutively, you might be pregnant and you need to consult your doctor immediately. 4. Your chances of becoming pregnant will be high in this case if you have sex within 7 days after you missed your dose. You will be required to use back-up birth control methods (such as condoms or spermicides) for these crucial 7 days.

D) If you miss 3 or more Pink active pills in all three weeks

1. If you are a first starter, throw out the rest of the pills pack and start the new pack on the same day because your cycle of using Yaz birth control pills is disturbed.

2. if you are a first Sunday starter, please continue taking one pill every day until Sunday. On Sunday, please throw out the rest of pills packet and start a new pack on the same day.

3. You may not have period this month but could be expected. However, if you do not have periods for two months consecutively, you might be pregnant and you need to consult your doctor immediately.

4. Your chances of becoming pregnant will be high in this case if you have sex within 7 days after you missed your dose. You will be required to use back-up birth control methods (such as condoms or spermicides) for these crucial 7 days.

E) If you miss to take 7 White inactive pills in Week 4
1. Discard the missing White inactive pills but continue to take one each White inactive pill until the seven days. Your birth control pills pack should be empty by 28th day or 7th day in Week 4

2. You do not require to use back-up birth control methods (such as condoms or spermicides) if you have sex.

In all cases where you missed to take Pink active birth control pills, you can use back-up birth control methods (such as condoms or spermicides) if you wish to have sex and consult with your healthcare professional or doctor for continuation of future Yaz birth control pills dosages.

• Store Yaz birth control pills at normal room temperature between 20-25°C (68-77°F). which are the most ideal temperature for storing pills.
• Excursion limit for is between 15 to 30°C (i.e between 59-86°F)
